Household items made by experienced Batik Artisan
Batik is known as one of the oldest method of decorating textile. It’s done by applying wax on certain areas of fabrics (following the motifs designed) by experienced batik artisan from Batik Sida Mukti. The designs are hand printed over a high quality cotton cloth, using the old batik technique. The colors are highly stable, but it is preferable to use cold wash for the fist time.

Indonesian Batik
Vintage Indonesian true wax batik. Handmade and hand drawn with wax. Deep burgundy red, natural and deep golden yellow natural plant dyes. This is a good handmade tulis are testifies true batik. And if you are studying batik textiles, you’ll be spotting some tiny black spots. Many acknowledged those spots are the remaining of dried wax from making process. Those are removable through rubbing or washing.

Although we check to make sure that there are no tears or severe stains on our fabrics when we buy them from producers, there may be unevenly colored parts or minor pattern misalignments because we only choose fabrics that are dyed by hand. Please take a close look at the handcrafted patterns on our fabrics; the width of the lines and other pattern characteristics may not be exactly uniform, but these are special traits that can only be found in hand-made batik.
